Clark's Law

This book, one of the best in the series, has a great plot. It contains many interestingthings in it: the weird rituals of other alien cultures, the conflict between aliens, and the conflict between duty and personal feelings. The book also brings up the philosophical questions: Should there be a death penalty? If there is, where do youdraw the line?

The author shows the feelings of the crew about the execution almost perfectly. You canfeel the pain of Dr. Franklin, with the stems and with his sorrow over the innocentbrain damaged Tuchanq. The captain's feelings are felt very strongly. You can almostsee the expressions on the characters' faces, and their great pain.

The end of the book, like the rest of it, is very good. It ends with a clever twist which makes everybody, characters and readers, happy. It (the ending) definitely issomething the Captain or one of the crew would think of doing.

This book is highly recommended for B5 fans. For people who aren't familiar with Babylon 5 it isn't recommended at all. If you don't watch the series you won't understand major parts of the book.
